Fan Expo 2012 + Updates!

Fan Expo is my favorite all time convention to go to. There is just so much to do and see, also with all the genres packed into one convention, it makes it more awesome!

I just went to Fan Expo last weekend and man did I have the best time ever! I saw so many people in great costumes, saw very awesome art in the artist alley, also saw some old friends that I hadn't seen in a while. But I have to say the best thing that happened that weekend was seeing the cast of Reviews on The Run/ Electric Playground. I went to their panel on the Saturday (my first panel ever) and it was so funny and some of the questions the fans asked were so interesting and some were a bit odd but what do you expect! I also met a few people from the cast as well and of course I was fan girling and nervous as hell but it was still so awesome!

Now for the photos!

EP/Reviews on the Run Panel <3

One thing that I didn't like was after the convention how EVERYONE complained about something about Fan Expo. It was one thing that just got me so mad, just because Hobby Star made one mistake with Fan Expo with the North building thing, now everyone just nit picks at EVERY thing. But for the people that wait in lines and don't plan right that's their fault not hobby stars fault. I thought the convention was well planned out, organized and kept everyone moving! Okay I'm done my rant now.

I had a great time and I can't wait till next year!

UPDATES!

I will be attending Ochiba~Con and I have a table with my friend, so I will be selling my charms for the first time! I'm very excited and can't wait to see people buy my charms and love them as much as I do! I just ordered my wig today as well for my next costume that I am hoping to have done for Ochiba~Con!

Hope to see some awesome people, costumes and art at the con!

Toronto Cosplay Picnic 2012!~

Another update!!!

This Saturday on Toronto center island is the cosplay picnic that I haven't attended since 2009! So it's been a while since I have attended and I heard that it has gotten a lot bigger which makes me very happy! This year I will be at the picnic to meet everyone from a facebook group I help run called the GTA Cosplayers, and its the groups official first meet and greet, so I am very excited for that!

I will be cosplaying (of course!) as Super Girl! Since it took so long to make just the shirt I want to wear it more and also who wouldn't want to dress up as a super hero? So yah I assume I will be the only super girl there at the picnic so I won't be that hard to spot.

I will also be selling my charms there as well! First time people will be able to buy them and take them home, love them as much as I love having them and making them. They range in price but they are not as expensive as some people price their clay charms. I've seen people price a little charm at 5-10 dollars and that's just insane to me! So my charms range from 2-5 dollars, I think that the prices are reasonable!

I still have a lot more work as well to get some more charms done and to finish my Silent Hill nurse mask before the weekend, well I would like too!

ConBravo 2012

ConBravo 2012 was my first time attending and I got to say it was fun at some parts. I mean I didn't attend any of the events or the panels since they didn't appeal to me really, but I met so really cool people and saw some great cosplayers!

I wasn't really on my A-game on taking pictures but I think I got some good shots. Here are some!

Assassins Creed

Female versions of Mario

Link

Zach and Yuna

Dinosaur

I also got so many pictures of my costumes and I got some mini shots as well which were fun and awesome! I thank everyone that took a picture of me! I felt like I really did a good job on my costume and I put in a lot of work so my work showed off.

My step mom took this photo before I headed to the con!

I had fun at ConBravo and next time I'm going to be getting a table to sell my charms! So I hope to see some of you next year in the Artist Alley!

Cosplay Progress!

Finally a post about cosplaying!

I finally got the motivation to start working on Supergirl from the cartoon. I wasn't planning on going to ConBravo but I was convinced so I'm going to go!

ConBravo is a convention ins Burlington Ontario which is very easy con to get too, which is a bonus. I haven't been before but a lot of people have been talking very highly of the con and now that I have people to go with...I thought why not? I'm not really sure what goes on at the con but I know I will be cosplaying and taking pictures!

Okay so to my costume! Here are some pictures of the progress!

Detangled my wig!

Messy messy work station!

Sew sew sew!

Iron iron iron!

This was the hardest thing to sew was the black hem...Almost gave up!

Think I have enough felt?

Making the "S" symbol

I think I'm going to redo this part.

PREVIEW!

I think my costume is pretty awesome!

So yah, those are the progress pictures I have for my costume. The only thing I have left to do is make the "S" symbol and attach it. Sew the cape to the shirt and cut my wig! So there is not a lot to do but I have to get it done before Sunday since I won't have my sewing machine or my sewing stuff with me so I thought to just get it done! Really thing I'm worried about it the make up. Supergirl has winged eyeliner which I am crap at doing...So I'm going to try and practice that, maybe make a tutorial?

Okay that is all for now! Hope this was a good blog post!

Clay, Costumes Oh my!

It's been a while since I have posted anything worth while. But I have been kind of blah lately and with the weather being so hot its hard to do anything! But I have been making a lot of crafts lately. My clay collection is getting bigger and I'm getting batter at making them. So here are a few that I have made in the last few weeks!

These are just a few of the clay creations I have made in the last few weeks.

Here is a video of more of my charms that I have made. I have been making clay things like crazy I just love it! I have also been making a lot of crafts as well, anything craft related I am in love with. So that means I will be making some costume stuff soon! I was thinking of making Finn and Fionna hats soon since Fan Expo is coming up fast! I need to get costume making!

Well I'm off!

Clay charms!

Well I found another awesome hobby, and thats making cute clay things!

Michael's has a sale going on and I found a coupon for 50% off ANYTHING in the store.  I saw a pack of 30 clay set for $39.99 and well I thought it was a great deal! So I got it and I started to make clay charms already. I'm going to post some pictures of the clays I got and some of the little clay things I made. I was also thinking of opening an Etsy store and selling some charms on there!

This is a picture of all the clay that came with the set I got today. I am using a bead container to hold all of the clay.

Macaroon I made I like how this turned out.

Another Macaroon I made, and I'm super proud of the bow it took a lot to make it!

And this little sushi guy with fish eggs on top.

This is a bear brown rice ball, I got this inspired from funkypinkgal on youtube.

And a very very tiny rice ball.

Then of course something nerdy like a triforce!!!

So that is all I have for pictures and that for now. But I shall be making some sort of blog soon about cosplay. I have to make weapons for my boyfriend and I for Fan Expo! So there will be a blog on that!
